Write Yourself A Letter

Have you ever tried writing to yourself? What would you say to yourself?

Writing is a long forgotten healing mechanism. Writing is extremely powerful if done right!

Many children often find themselves lost. They don’t know who they are or what they enjoy – it almost seems like everything they want or enjoy is because society or social media told them to.

What happens here is that as they begin to get older, they lose touch with themselves.

    How does writing help?

Writing brings you in touch with yourself! How often have you found yourself unable to answer a question because you’re trying to answer based on what the other person wants to hear? This happens because we have been moulded to impress others in order to try and fit in to society better. Children are doing the same thing! In fact, they have more comparisons to make, more people to show, more people to impress. As this happens, they forget who they are and who they want to be.

Writing yourself a letter helps you stay true to who you are!

Write encouragements, aspirations, thoughts, ideas, etc. Speak to yourself as if you’re speaking to someone – speak with kindness, hope and love.

    Then read, re-read and re-re-read!
